We had a great evening in Kanfanar. A group of beautiful girls gathered in a luxury house for a vacation. A team of American women living and working in Italy chose Istria for a weekend retreat.
The girls were fantastic company and we really enjoyed preparing them dinner with local specialties.
Stunning holiday home
They chose a holiday house in Kanfanar. It is one of the most luxurious villas where we had the opportunity to cook. We don’t know what enchanted us more, the decoration of the house, the pool or the garden.
In any case, it was pleasant to cook in such an environment.
Private dinner in Kanfanar
The girls wanted to try Istrian food and specialties for dinner. We fulfilled their wish and served the best of what this beautiful region has to offer as an appetizer.
We presented Istrian products on the charcuterie board, which was full of prosciutto, cheese, sausages… The delicacies quickly disappeared from the table, and our team of girls liked them very much.
The main dish was homemade pasta “pljukanci” with istrian ox beef “boškarin”. For vegetarians, we have prepared a variant with mushroom ragu.
For dessert we prepared a hug in the mug. It was actually a chocolate fudge with forest fruit coulis.
