This family loves Croatia. This is especially true for one of the sons, who is a huge fan of Real Madrid and Luka Modrić. We were delighted to have the opportunity to cook for them for a few days.
For their vacation, they rented a beautiful holiday home in the Labin area. The villa impressed us and it is located away from the main road, in a small village near Labin.
It is surrounded by stunning nature and is accessed via a small forest path. It features a huge yard with a large pool, while the interior is luxuriously appointed and equipped.
Private family dinner
They hired us for private dinners, which we prepared for them with pleasure. They showed an interest in istrian cuisine, so we showcased the best our region has to offer.
From pasta to the finest cheese and prosciutto
For the appetizer, we served a platter featuring the most famous istrian products. It included cheese, prosciutto, and homemade sausages, complemented by nuts and fruit… Our guests were most delighted by our version of tuna pâté, which we served with crackers.
For the main course, we prepared a typical istrian dish. It featured homemade pasta known as “pljukanci” served with istrian ox beef known as “boškarin”.
Finally, for dessert, we served a classic: tiramisu—a dish our guests praised highly.
