Although we cook various world specialties, our guests are always delighted with our local, istrian specialties.
They mostly ask us to prepare istrian, croatian and mediterranean specialties for them. They are usually meat specialties, but guests often like to try sea and fish specialties (sea bass, octopus, squid…).
At large celebrations, it often happens that we prepare some vegan and gluten-free specialties for some of the guests with such dietary habits.
We should not forget the barbecues, where guests like to try bosnian and balkan specialties such as ćevapčići.

Private lunch experience
This time we were hired by a Swedish family. For their vacation, they chose Croatia, more precisely, the famous tourist center in Istria, Umag. To celebrate their birthday, they invited us to their vacation home, where we prepared a private lunch in several courses.


Istrian food with some surprises
The dinner was opened by istrian specialties. The menu included a selection of local cheeses, prosciutto and homemade sausage. Of course, nothing could pass without a good drop, so our celebrants enjoyed local wines. This was followed by homemade pasta pljukanci with ox beef boškarin.
A real foodie dish was beef cheeks, which our Swedes truly enjoyed. Although guests can sometimes be skeptical, for the vast majority this specialty is the postitive surprise.
For this lunch, we have also prepared several vegan specialties.
